5. Vehicle Purchase & DMV Documentation

When you purchase a vehicle, we collect information required by state and federal law to complete the transaction. This includes your full name, address, driver's license number, and signature for DMV forms such as the Bill of Sale, Odometer Disclosure Statement, and Buyers Guide. As required by the FTC Used Car Rule, we provide a Buyers Guide for every vehicle sold. These documents are retained as required by SC DMV regulations.

6. Test Drives & Identification

For test drive appointments, we may request a copy of your valid driver's license for insurance and liability purposes. This information is stored securely and is only used to verify your identity and driving eligibility. License information is not shared with third parties.

7. Vehicle History & VIN Data

We may use Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) to obtain vehicle specifications and history reports from third-party data providers. VIN lookup results are cached on our servers to improve performance. This data relates to vehicles, not to individuals.

8. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies to ensure our website functions properly, including session cookies for authentication and preference cookies for remembering your language settings. We collect anonymized page view analytics (with truncated IP addresses) to understand how visitors use our site. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

10. Data Retention

Vehicle purchase records and DMV documentation are retained as required by South Carolina state law. Analytics data older than 90 days may be aggregated or deleted. Chat conversations are automatically deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
